Engagement path

From first call to written recommendation

Advisory work at Harbor Line follows a repeatable path so you always know which stage you are in — and what you will hold in your hands at the end.

  1. Suitability call

A short conversation to confirm we can help, outline likely fees, and send a document checklist. No charge for this call.

  2. Engagement letter

We confirm the consultation name, fee, meeting format, and deliverables. Work begins when you accept the letter and the first invoice stage is settled where applicable.

  3. Fact-find meeting

Income needs, dependents, pensions, ISAs, property, and risk comfort are recorded. You may meet at 255 Forest Spring or by video.

  4. Analysis away from the table

We model options and draft the recommendation without asking you to decide in the room. Complex scheme rules are checked against provider literature.

  5. Recommendation meeting & letter

You receive a plain-English letter stating assumptions, options considered, and actions for you to take with providers or solicitors.

  6. Follow-up window

Retirement Income Planning includes one clarifying call within 30 days. Other consultations specify follow-up in their engagement letters.
