About
Harbor Line Financial Consultants grew from advisory work with households across Scotland and the wider UK who needed retirement and pension guidance without a sales desk attached.
We exist to help people leave paid work, rearrange pension pots, and review investments with documents they can re-read months later. Advice should survive a second look at the kitchen table.
The practice takes its name from the idea of a harbour line — a clear mark between open water and safe berth. Clients often arrive after a job change, a redundancy, or the first serious conversation about stopping work. Those moments need a marked path, not another brochure.
We open with a short suitability call, then a fact-find that covers income needs, dependents, existing pensions, and tax wrappers. Analysis happens away from the meeting so recommendations are prepared, not improvised. You receive a letter stating assumptions, options considered, and the actions that remain yours to take with providers and solicitors.
